Dear Perfect Pooch-

I am writing to express my deep thanks and highest endorsement for your staff and your services. When I first started bringing my dogs, Buddy and Mollie, to Perfect Pooch, they were almost unmanageable at home. Despite numerous walks and runs, they were difficult to tire out, and Mollie, in particular, was destructive. Buddy was very aggressive towards other dogs, especially when on a leash. Since they are both large dogs, it was a difficult and potentially dangerous situation.

With a combination of the outstanding leadership of the Perfect Pooch staff and the regular exercise and socialization from the other dogs in daycare, Buddy and Mollie are now completely different, and I have learned the tools to manage their behavior myself.  All our lives are immeasurably better.

You have created a wonderful facility, with spacious, clean indoor and outdoor play areas, comfortable kennels, and wonderful grooming. The true value of Perfect Pooch, though, comes from the people. Every staff member is hard-working, knowledgeable, caring, and professional. It is clear that the care and socialization of dogs, and the education of their owners is more than just a job for you. There are numerous occasions when I have seen each of you go above and beyond the requirements of the job- whether to care for a sick dog, accommodate a difficult schedule, help me rescue a lost dog, or take on the hard cases from the local ASPCA- I am deeply impressed by the devotion and passion that is evident in each of you every day.

I love bringing my dogs to Perfect Pooch and it is obvious to me that they have a special bond with the people there. Thanks so much for everything you do.

Laura

In a nutshell, we are huge fans of Perfect Pooch. Because of our positive experiences, we have recommended them to several of our friends, and are excited to continue spreading the news. The Training Program at Perfect Pooch turned our problematic adopted dog into a great family member. I strongly believe that had we not found PP, we would have ended up surrendering our dog to the SPCA that we adopted him from. The help we received and the improvements made have been invaluable. I cannot imagine not having our dogs in our family, and we largely owe it to PP. We bring our dogs to Daycare at Perfect Pooch twice a week. We feel that not only does it provide fun,
and breaks up themonotony when we’re at work, but keeps them well socialized. Although it takes me 2 hours to get from my job, to Perfect Pooch and home, it is well worth it. I tried bringing my ‘problem’ dog to another, closer daycare, only to find that when I picked him up, he would refuse to get in the car (he is not a fan of the car). Since he weighs as much as me, picking him up to put him in the car was not
an option. I wondered if it was just an isolated incident, but after 6 or more times, I realized there was a direct correlation to the daycare facility and the dog not listening to me when I picked him up. At Perfect Pooch, when I pick up my dogs, the wonderful staff simply hands me the leash, and both of my dogs follow my lead. My car shy dog, jumps right in every time. The longer commute is well worth it to have happy, tired, and obedient dogs at the end of the day. Boarding our dogs at PP has given us the freedom to travel whenever we want, and feel comfortable and confident that our dogs are in good hands, safe and having fun. In fact, recently, we were scheduled to board our dogs over a holiday weekend. Simultaneously our one dog had a serious eye condition,
requiring extra care and caution. I was concerned that it would be too much to expect from the wonderful, yet busy staff on a summer holiday weekend, with so many dogs at the facility. I spoke with Kevin, to see if he thought we should cancel our travel plans and he assured me that he, Sarah, and the rest of the crew could take care of the situation. After talking to him, I felt comfortable boarding the dogs and going away as planned. When we returned, our dog’s eye was in better health than when we
left him! Perfect Pooch has made a busy life with two big dogs (one being high maintenance) workable, fun, and gratifying. Honestly, I don’t know what we would do without them. Thank you Kevin, Sarah, and the rest of the staff.

I am writing this letter of reference for my dear friends at Perfect Pooch.  We have a 5 year old German Shepherd, Roxie Belle, who we had rescued several years ago from the local SPCA. Roxie attends Perfect Pooch for weekly daycare, grooming, as well as boarding when her family is away on vacation.  We love the new facility and have recommended them to many of our friends and family.

I would like to provide you with just one example of how Perfect Pooch goes "above and beyond" for its customers.  Several months ago, while Roxie was being driven to Perfect Pooch, my car's transmission died on the highway.  I was concerned that once the tow truck came that Roxie would not be able to handle the situation.  I quickly called Perfect Pooch and asked if they could meet me on the highway to come and get Roxie.  Kevin did not hesitate -- he immediately said of course and was able to meet me on the highway, take Roxie from me, and bring her safely to daycare at Perfect Pooch while I tended to my car.  I am ever so grateful for Kevin and his staff for their efforts that day!

If you are considering daycare for your dog or boarding you can not go wrong with Perfect Pooch.  We recommend them for your dogs'

socialization as well as training.  We hope you will consider them for your dog.

Fondly,

The Gittleman Family

When I think of Perfect Pooch, the word miracle comes to mind.  I have a 6 year old Miniature Pincher named Peanut.  I made the mistake in the beginning of not training her properly and treating her like a baby.  I then found out that training a 5 year old do is very difficult to do.  My sister and I have gone through many training programs through Petco, DVD from Ceasar Milan, and Bark Busters.  None of them stuck.  When my sister found Perfect Pooch, we though this was our last hope!  We tried their daycare program and loved it.  We found out about the 10 day doggy boot camp and we thought why not?  It has been the best thing we ever tried!  Perfect Pooch doesn't treat the dogs like puppies like the other programs did.  They treat them like they are 6 years old and trains them like they are 6 years old.  Peanut has become more confident in herself since starting the program with Perfect Pooch and the program has taught me a lot about concentration and patience.  I would highly reccommend any aspect of Perfect Pooch for anyone to use.  Any time I have a chance to brag about Perfect Pooch, I do it!

My labrador retriever Vegas has been going to Perfect Pooch for daycare once a week for over a year.  Vegas has been to many different doggie daycares because we've moved alot.  Perfect Pooch is #1 by far!  Vegas comes home each evening tired and well-socialized from her day of play with other dogs.  I continually recommend Perfect Pooch to all dog owners I meet mainly because of the staff.  The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and their love of dogs is evident each day!  In addition, the staff works hard to enforce good training habits in the dogs.  I highly recommend Perfect Pooch - a well-exercised dog is a happy dog and makes for a happy owner!

Hi Perfect Pooch,

Before I found out about The Perfect Pooch I was terrified to leave my dog when I went away. I would either leave him with a friend or just not go away. This past summer I left Charlie (a 1 year old Cavalier King Charles) with you guys for the day so he could be evaluated for an overnight stay. He passed but more importantly, he loved it. He was very happy when I picked him up but the true test came when I brought him back the following week for his overnight stay.

As soon as we pulled up, he jumped up and began pawing at the door to get out of the car. The minute I opened the car door he began pulling me towards your front door. Can dogs remember? Well, all I can say is he does the complete opposite when we go to the vet. He refuses to get out of the car and wont take a single step towards the door. I have to carry him in.

He loves his Perfect Pooch vacations (as my kids call them) and I love them too. Thanks for giving me back my feedom to travel.

I would like to thank Perfect Pooch for making my live so much easier. Margot has been going there since she was a puppy and I take her there as much as I can. I love that she plays and socializes in a safe and stable setting ... and that she is going to be tired at the end of the day. I recommend the Perfect Pooch to everybody.

We wanted to let you know what a fantastic job Amy does grooming our dog, and that she makes the entire experience a good one. We asked that we bring our dog in so she doesn't have to wait, and that Amy calls us as soon as our dog is ready to be picked up. She makes all of that happen without fail. Amy accommodates whatever day and time we want to bring our dog in, including Sundays. Our dog looks beautiful every time we pick her up, she smells good, and Amy cuts her exactly the way we like. We have referred our friends to take their dogs to Amy. She is wonderful!

Hi Team at Perfect Pooch,

I'm happy to submit my reference letter- since we are huge fans of Perfect Pooch.  We have known Kevin and the Perfect Pooch staff for over 3 years and they have all helped us- and our crazy blue Weim adjust welcoming our son into our family.  The training, education and kindness we received was exactly what we needed at an intense time.  Incredibly fearful and afraid of her own shadow, Asher has always been a challenge to leave with others, but she feels right at home with the staff at Perfect Pooch.  The staff know her well, appreciate her quirks and help her feel comfortable when she is there.  The facility is large, clean and perfect for getting her the exercise she misses - and she loves the attention that staff spoils her with.  In our home, Perfect Pooch is known as "camp" and Asher, anxiety and all, even shows a little excitment at the mention of it.  We know she is in awesome hands and we are grateful!

We also really appreciate the post boarding bath that you offer.  It makes her passing out on the couch when she gets home, better for all of us!

Thank you, we love you guys!

Love,

Amanda, Ryan, Brody and Asher Zavodnick

Perfect Pooch is the GREATEST thing that has happened to Malcolm.  The staff at Perfect Pooch really do care about the dogs.  He really likes to go to Perfect Pooch and when ever he goes there he always comes back tired from being outside with other dogs all day.  Since going to Perfect Pooch Malcolm has stopped barking, I believe that it is because they do not allow it in the yard.

The training that he has received since going there has been great and he has been making such great strides. All the trainers are great and do an amazing job with the dogs.

Thank-you,

Trust me, if you are having trouble with training, socialization, or just need something new for your pooch, I have the perfect solution. Perfect Pooch in King of Prussia. There is hope! My family and I came across Perfect Pooch through an advertisement. Conveniently located five minutes from our house, we decided to check out the place. We had seen that they advertised daycare, boarding, grooming, and socialization.

My sister and I each have miniature pinschers. My family also just welcomed a new puppy to our family in March. She is a black and tan coonhound/sheppard mix. We are a diverse family!

My sister and I never trained our miniature pinschers. We babied them and even carried them around when we were home. We rarely walked them. We had always said it was due to work or school. Here's the thing we learned from Perfect Pooch through training and the daycare: dogs need to be worked and need the exercise. Even though my sister and I knew it, once the results started showing, we believed it.

Our miniature pinschers were high strung, jumpy, insecure animals. Perfect Pooch taught us that we need to be the Pack Leaders. Instead of having the dogs walk out the door before us, we needed to go out first. We started walking/exercising with our dogs two times a day. From walking them around our town for thirty minutes, riding a bike and having them trot next to us, or even making obstacle courses at our local playground, our dogs were beginning to work and get tired. "A tired dog is a happy dog." A quote I heard at Perfect Pooch.

We have come very far with our training. I can walk my dog without her going crazy when she sees cars and people. She listens to me much more. Perfect Pooch has given us a lot of advice, time, and patience. In return, we make more time for our dogs, and have more patience. It is not easy, and we do get frustrated sometimes still, but it is worth it. The results are worth it.  Our dogs are worth it.

Currently we take our three dogs to daycare every Friday. It lets them socialize, play, and get tired. It is not easy. The key: patience and consistency. Perfect Pooch will be there for guidance. In return, you will find a happier, healthier (and more tired) dog : )

We can't thank Perfect Pooch enough for the excellent dog training we received for our Golden Retriever, Shea.  Prior to beginning our training with Perfect Pooch, Shea would get very excited and jump on any visitors that came into our home.  We could not walk her without getting pulled down the street.  Our son couldn't take her to his friend's house because she was such a pest to their dog.  She was also digging holes in our yard.  We are thankful to Ryan for expanding Shea's training by introducing us to the remote training collar.  Ryan's exceptional dog training has produced a very well-behaved dog that no longer jumps on people, walks off-leash beautifully, plays well with other dogs, and no longer digs holes in our yard.  Family and friends are amazed at the transformation.  We are thrilled that we now have a well-mannered playful puppy.

Thanks,

Cecil, Pat, and Kevin Lewis

Hi Kevin -

I wanted to share the following with you:

I'm pretty certain that on an almost daily basis, I ask Sarah to either give Buckley a bath, ask her advice about a topic related to Buckley or most recently, tend to some scratches he has on his back. Regardless of what I ask, Sarah is always more than willing to help out in any way. As I'm sure each of you have noticed, I am slightly  :) neurotic about my dog....hopefully I'm not too over the top! However, given that I am a first time dog owner, and may ask some silly questions, Sarah never makes me feel like I'm inconveniencing her. It is so reassuring to know that Buckley is in such good hands, especially since he is there so often. Sarah is so attentive and takes such good care of Buckley and I didn't want that to go unnoticed. So...a big thank you to Sarah and to all of you really for providing such a high quality experience for the dogs and their owners!

Thanks again!

Dana

Dear Perfect-Pooch,

My husband and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for taking such great care of our foxhound/lab mix, Sammy!  We rescued her about a year ago and she was a little out of control to say the least.

Since coming to perfect pooch for daycare and some training she is a completely different dog and a much happier pup.  She's excited when we drop her off for daycare and boarding and seems to love the handlers/trainers.  Not only that, but the training we received from Cassandra was so helpful in getting Sammy to walk without pulling and to listen to our commands.  She really worked with us to personalize the training to Sammy's needs and she is so much better behaved that people in our neighborhood have noticed without us even telling them that she's had any training.

We really love that we can get all of Sammy's needs taken care of in one place and from people who genuinly love the animals they care for and love what they do.  Thank you Perfect-Pooch!

Sincerely,

Stephanie, Matthew, & Sammy Clinger

Ginger, my Bernese Mountain Dog, loves to go to Perfect Pooch. For Ginger going to your location is much like a child going to Disney World. When she drives into your complex she immediately gets excited. As you or your staff greet her, she forgets all about her loving owner, and her tail begins to wag and she is ready to play with whoever is there that day. I often try to say goodbye to her, and she is already busy making new friends. For Ginger, going to Perfect Pooch is her chance to make new friends and socialize with the other dogs.

Perfect Pooch is an amazing place for people who care about their pets. As an pet owner, I never have to worry about if my dog will be ok when she is at the kennel, or if she is being bored. From the pictures you send of her out with the other dogs and from how she returns home, you can tell that being at Perfect Pooch is as much a vacation for her as it is for us. Thanks for providing such a great place for my dog!  -- Fred

We are so happy to have Perfect Pooch to rely on for our dog Birdie! My husband said when he dropped her off the other day for boarding she dragged him in on the leash she was so excited! Our dog is used to being off leash and active regularly with other dogs so it was such a relief to find a place where she wouldn't have to stay in run all day by herself when we go out of town. Birdie loves all the exercise and socializing with other dogs and we love that group play is included in the reasonable pricing. Unlike other kennels we aren’t nickel and dimed for every "walk". The Facebook photos of the dogs at play are a fun way to stay in touch; we don't worry about her at all while we're gone. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, so much more accommodating than any other place I've tried. Thanks so much Perfect Pooch!!

Perfect-Pooch is the best "doggie hotel/resort" that Parker has ever had the pleasure of being a guest. The service, dedication and love provided by the staff truly makes the Perfect-Pooch a luxury vacation destination.
Perfect Pooch's training has changed Parker from a 100 pound out of control Black Lab into a responsible, playful and loving 3 year old. Perfect Pooch did a great job training me as well!

Seriously, my family would never consider boarding Parker anywhere else. Whether Parker visits Perfect-Pooch for a day, a long weekend or a long vacation, Parker always comes home well taken care of, happy, and tired from all of the exercise and fun.

Perfect Pooch's training gave us the tools to train and effectively communicate with Parker. Last night while taking a walk together, Parker and I had a long discussion about politics, the Supreme Court nomination, Iraq, the G-8 Summit, the London terrorist attack, and religion. Parker's definitive statement was "what's so funny... about peace, love and... understanding". (Parker is an Elvis Costello groupie).

Sending my dog, George, to Perfect Pooch was by far the best choice I ever made for him. When I adopted George, two years ago, he was not only dog aggressive he was very stubborn to train. Now George gets constant compliments on how well behaved he is and loves dogs of all sizes. My roommate and I frequently foster dogs and George has been an asset in making the dogs feel at home. Thank you Perfect Pooch. \

Sincerely

Dana Charmoy and George

Just a quick email to let you know how much Finnegan, our Lab, loves going to Perfect Pooch for doggie day care. Every day, he sits by the front door hoping that he will get to go that day. We try to send him about once a week and when he knows he is going, he is beside himself with joy and excitement. He just loves going.
It works very well for us as he gets a chance to visit with the other dogs and to run and play and get rid of some of his excess energy.

John and I were also very pleased with his training and his boarding. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend all of your services, training, boarding, and day care to anyone. Don't know what we would do without you.
--Beverly

We could never find a more loving and caring place to send our dogs. They are so well taken care of and every time we open the car door they jump in with tails wagging looking forward to visiting there best friends at Perfect Pooch. The pictures we get emailed are an extra bonus we love getting them. We feel so good to be able to go away and not worry about our dogs at all. Perfect pooch has become a second home for our 2 dogs Thank you Perfect Pooch for all of your personal attention.

Dear Perfect Pooch team-

I hope all is well in KoP!

Kasia and I, and our cats, are doing very well in Phila…  So well, that I wanted to share with you two very happy stories from the past 3 days …

#1:

A new very large dog has moved into our building and we have encountered him a few times out near the park and walking the neighborhood.  Previously, Kasia interacted with him, but not very much as he is very large and bit unruly.  However, when we saw him this Saturday during our walk around our place, Kasia did the most amazing thing….when the dog would not settle or listen to his owner, she simply turned her head and sat down and would not acknowledge him.  It was almost like she was saying, ‘you are way too out of control and I will address you once you settle’ …  J

#2:

The dog walker and I have been working with Kasia on jumping on people when we are on our walks.  She gets better every day!  And, yesterday morning, while 3 folks were in the parking lot and we were on our way back home, I said one command: come, and pulled the leash in.  She walked right by the crowd without even a glance … the one man turned to me as Kasia pranced towards the door and said, ‘now that’s a proud dog walking there’.   J J

Of course we have our off days, when she barrels into me when I go for the leash, or when she chases the cats until she has one of their heads in her mouth … but, she continues to make great strides each day.  And, I want to thank you very much for all of your support.  This is my first dog as an adult and I didn’t know what to expect.  I struggled in the beginning quite honestly.  I have spent the past 8-9 years rescuing cats, and they are very different little animals.  I had a lot to learn…

Kasia came to me as a very scared and very skinny little dog from the PAWs facility on Grey’s Ferry.  She was desperate for love and affection and really just wanted some place to call home…  And now, she has become a happy member of my family!   You helped me give her back her confidence and I cannot thank you enough.

Thank you very much …  Michelle & Kasia
